Exactly what it says on the tin. A 1-1 boardbuilding course taking you through as much or as little of the entire process as you want from start to finish. No experience necessary and you’ll not only learn what to do but why you’re doing it.

I aim to make the courses as focussed or comprehensive as you want so there’s obviously a bit of a price difference between “How do I fit a fin box?” and “How do I make a 14f, triple concave glider with redwood and walnut accents?”. In broad terms though, the boardbuilding aspects of the courses tend to fall into one of two categories.

Shaping: A 2 day shaping course, designing, drawing out and handshaping to completion starts at £350 including all materials and guidance.

At the end of this stage you can either take your shaped blank to our friends at Good Fin Co for glassing, or….

Wood wrapping and finishing: This is a 4-5 day course to turn your shaped blank into a watertight and fully functional, wood wrapped ecoboard. This stage starts from £800 and again, covers everything from vac bagging to finishing.
